Before and After

Move the handle across each image to see the same space before and after.

Single-story stucco home with a red tile roof, the stucco faded blotchy peach with cracks and stains, peeling trim and a sun-bleached garage door, two potted agaves by the arched entry — Same house and camera: stucco repaired and repainted, trim and garage door refinished

The same home with the stucco painted clean warm white, the fascia and window trim deep blue and the garage door fresh white, the same agaves by the entry — Same house and camera: stucco repaired and repainted, trim and garage door refinished

Backyard wood deck and horizontal slat fence, grey and weathered with dark mildew spots, a woven lounge chair and a potted olive tree on the boards — Same deck and camera: cleaned and stained, nothing replaced

The same deck and fence cleaned and stained an even cedar brown with the grain showing, the same chair and potted tree in place — Same deck and camera: cleaned and stained, nothing replaced

Colors and Finishes

Grey weathered wood deck beside a redwood-toned fence with one stripe of boards freshly stained deep amber-brown, a paintbrush and a can of stain on the boards.

Cedar shingle wall split down the middle, the left half painted sage grey and the right half still weathered bare cedar, white-trimmed windows on each side.

Bright living room mid-repaint with a smooth warm-white wall edged in blue painter's tape, a roller on a stepladder, drop cloths on the floor, furniture under plastic sheeting and a large arched window
